Best things about Perry
Cherokee Strip Museum
A fairly intriguing museum as it covers the saga of the Cherokee Outlet Land Run and also prairie life at school, at home, etc.
CCC Lake
This "lake" or reservoir is a Civilian Conservation Corps project and has trails and a little prairie chapel.

Understand
This Land Run town of 1893 had some 40,000 squatters encamp on the day of the event, and an early Wild West flair with free flowing alcohol and train robberies by the Dalton and Doolin gangs in the days to follow. It is also the home of Charles Machine Works, Inc, along US Route 64, which invented the Ditch Witch line of excavation products.

Get around
It's very compact, but hopefully you have a car because it's pretty far from anywhere.
