By car
The main roads into Pompano Beach are the Federal Hwy, US-1, which enters from the north and south and goes along the east side of the mainland; Ocean Blvd, which is FL-A1A and goes the length of the barrier island from north to south and enters from the north by bridge over Hillsboro Bay and the south across land from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea; and I-95, which goes north-south on the west side of town. There is a network of less important roads, such as Dixie Hwy (FL-811 / north-south) and Atlantic Blvd (FL-814 / east-west to the island) as well and arriving by car provides many options.
