Understand
Port Royal is a small town of about 1,000 residents situated where the Tuscarora Creek flows into the Juniata River in central Pennsylvania. For much of its history, the town primarily served the farming community that surrounded it. Transportation has had a great effect on the town. Its location along the river allowed it to be part of the Pennsylvania Canal and part of the Pennsylvania Railroad.

Visit the speedway's website for a schedule of events. The Lehman Covered Bridge, built in 1858, was rebuilt in 1973 from salvaged, original timbers after the bridge was topped by Hurricane Agnes in June 1972. It is privately owned, but is easily seen from Route 333.
